THURSDAY GIRL
I was born on February 24, 1994. It was a rainy Thursday and I was the last of three kids. So, I consider myself, what I call a Thursday Girl. Thursday is the day before Friday, its not quite the weekend yet but its almost there. That's a metaphor for my life thus far--as a result I have had to have twice the amount of ambition and I credit all of my achievements to my supreme survival skills, creativity and ambition. Born and raised in what is consistently ranked as one of the worst cities in the United States, Stockton, CA I am the product of a single father high school dropout who had a strong work ethic and encouraged me to pursue all of the education he never had the opportunity to receive. As a result by 22, I had a Master's degree and had attended two of the best universities in the United States. Sophomore year of Undergrad I gave birth to my first son, King, and it gave me the drive and ambition to achieve the unimaginable: I graduated on time and relocated across the country to New York from California to pursue my dream of working in media and entertainment.

I made single motherhood my brand--and set out to show womxn and moms all over the world that it does not matter where you come from but where you end up. The relentless pursuit of all that there is is only the beginning and this is no dress rehearsal but a continuous fight full of wins and losses. Everyday is another opportunity to make this journey something to remember. Your adversity is your story and the mundane moments are just a part of the plot.
